ABOUT THE ROLE

This an exciting opportunity at our London office to join our Finance team as a Revenue Controller. This is on a full time (35hr a week) basis reporting into the Revenue Control Manager.

There are 19 people in the Finance Department, including the Director of Finance, 4 Finance Managers, 1 Management Accountant, 2 Assistant Management Accountants, 1 Senior Revenue Controller, 4 Revenue Controllers, 2 Senior Finance Assistants and 4 Finance Assistants.

As a Revenue Controller, the successful person will be responsible for WIP management, billing and credit control. This involves reviewing WIP balances with all fee earners including partners, processing bills, and securing swift payment of invoices. 

You will be required to liaise with Partners and team members at all levels as well as external clients applying an assertive yet tactful approach whilst maintaining positive and constructive relationships. Some examples of tasks include taking responsibility for Partners’ billing and credit control requirements, closely monitoring billing and cash collection budgets and targets as well as reviewing WIP balances.

ABOUT YOU

This role is ideal for someone who has strong experience with billing and WIP with excellent numeracy skills and the ability to reconcile accurately. You possess solid IT skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel. Experience with Elite 3E would be an additional bonus. Good customer service/stakeholders’ management experience is also essential for the role.

Confidence with placing pressure tactfully on companies and people who owe money is central to the role. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt your communication style to meet the needs of different audiences including senior stakeholders of the business. Given the nature of this role, it would suit someone who thrives on building meaningful and impactful relationships with colleagues.
