Systems Developer

This full time (35hrs a week), London based Systems Developer role is a newly created position to join our IT Solutions Team within the IT & Security Department.

Reporting into the Director of IT, you will be able to demonstrate a good level of previous experience of working in a commercial environment.

As a Systems Developer, you will work closely with our Senior Systems Developer/Technical Compliance Manager. As an ISO27001 certified firm, all our in-house development projects must be managed and must meet both strict technical compliance development procedures and change management standards.

The role will involve the development of new and existing internal/client solutions, as well as internal bespoke automation and integration projects.

You day will be spent focusing on project work which may involve at least one of the following:

• Assisting in any development work and implementation of new and existing tools, business applications, web-based portals, including API integrations with our core platforms – PMS (Elite 3E), DMS (Netdocuments) and other existing internal database systems.
• Participate in proactive continuous improvement and development workstreams, providing end to end ownership including input into specification and design, estimation and project planning, build, release and post live support.
• Provide 3rd line support for internal bespoke applications developed by in-house or outsourced, and upgrading existing software solutions as and when required.
• Close collaboration with the Business Analyst and Director of IT.
• From time to time, engagement with the IT Programme Manager for firm-wide rollouts such as PMS or DMS upgrades requiring integration work.
• Communication with Legal and Business Services teams including external client engagement where this is required.
• Collaboration with external outsourced consultants.

We are looking for a Systems Developer who is looking to join an IT team who foster collaborative development work, a fun and friendly work environment and a firm who champions a supportive, entrepreneurial working environment.

Technically, we are looking for someone with:

• Excellent knowledge of SQL Server scripting, security and understanding of SQL and Entity Relationship Diagrams / Structured data design.
• Proven commercial experience working on projects using .NET technologies – C#, ASP.NET, VB.Net, and other related software technologies to create bespoke web applications or data driven portals, Azure functions /SSO enabled portals.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of developing and consuming RESTful web services as well as knowledge of API Security.

In return, you will have the opportunity to work on a huge project which involves the development of a web-based database driven portal and exposure to both front end (React/JavaScript/Angular/AngularJS [1.x]), and back-end technology (C#, Node, Net Core, VB, VB.Net, ASP.NET, and ASP.Net MVC).

Offer of employment

If you are successful and accept our offer of employment, we will submit your details to our background screening company (Giant), who will conduct a series of background checks.
